When we saw these tickets we thought the twins would just love it.
We took them to "Elmo Makes Music", it was a live play where the characters are larger than life and dance around. We went early in the morning with about 1,000 kids and their parents. It was nuts. But the kids loved it, when the production started the lights went down and then the stage burst into action with lights, and then the characters marched on to the stage singing and dancing. Orli, with a big smile said "wow!". The stage lights were swirling around wildly which made Zev want to follow them with this little head. Then Elmo arrives on the stage, shouts of "Elmo" can be heard from the crowd. It was cute. Orli clapped and cheered at the end of every song and dance number, and you heard her shout "Elmo, Elmo, Elmo!!". Zev rocked and bobbed his head along with the music. And he could be heard quietly saying "Ernie?" "Elmo?" when they were not on the stage.
At the end of the first act there is a 15 min intermission. Right as the act ended a guy came out of these double doors to the side of the stage with the largest bunch of Mylar Elmo balloons we've ever seen, which caused a baby riot. We were hoping they were free, but this notion lasted for about 2 seconds, because the man just stood there waiting for the rush of parents. Little by little this mountain of balloons was whittled down to nothing. Then the audience was dotted with these floating Elmo heads. Orli, having a one track mind, made every effort to get as close as she could to that balloon man.
The show was basically a live, extended sesame Street show, all the elements, letter and number of the day. It was cute, we are looking forward to Dora Live and a few more Elmo shows if we can get a break on the tickets. Mostly we enjoyed watching the twins reaction to the whole spectacle.
