Just a quick note about the twins: We are really starting to hear actual words now. They don't string too many words together, but they really are starting to make sense. Right now Zev can seem to say a few more words more clearly than Orli can. We know that will change as it does every time we think one kid appears to be developing more skills more quickly than the others. Now we have heard that girls walk and boys talk. So far the twins are fitting that mold. Orli walked two months earlier than Zev and she also seemed to talk and point earlier. Now, Zev can say things more clearly and seem to identify and say the name of objects more than Orli can. That is not to say that Orli can't understand you, she certainly can and even without words she's very much able to indicate what she wants, when she's disappointed and even tell a joke. She's very clever and perhaps a little bit more calculating than Zev. Zev is very sweet and affectionate, we are not sure if that is a trait of boys, he's more apt to hug and kiss and go "awww" to his sister. And he can say "Ori" that is how he calls his sister. Orli says "buh buh" and has stopped saying "Zuuuzz", which she said months ago.
Thanksgiving: We are preparing for our 2nd Thanksgiving with the babies and the first without their grandparents Val and Mickey. We are thankful for this year, although it was a very tough one as a family, we are thankful for eachother becuase the love and patience it has taken to get through this year was overwhealming, we are thankful for our amazing and supportive families and friends, we are thankful we have these beautiful children, we are thankful for all the beautiful children of our friends whom our kids will grow to know and love, we are thankful for all the new babies that were born this year, we are thankful for our supportive and loving Jewish community at Temple Shalom, we are thankful that we have food, we are thankful we can pay our bills, we are thankful we still have our jobs, we are thankful that this election year is finally over and we can now focus the future, we are thankful for you. I love you!
Lauren,
As always, thanks for including me in the update. I am waiting for the day when Zev and Orli walk into the Temple with a hug and kiss for me and can say, "Hi Auntie M!". Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Love,
"Auntie" Melanie
