2009 is here finally and we are looking forward to a happier year than last. We know that we are not alone in looking forward to happier, healthier, more sucessful, less stressful, and exciting 2009. Our wish is that everyone has a better year than last we are very hopeful we will.
This year, we plan to visit Arizona again, go to a big wedding and welcome more babies born. We look forward to all the great things that will happen this year. We will watch a new President with African roots take office, we will wait with patience that this economy will recover, and we will watch the news with anxiety as tensions in the Middle East either escalate or dissipate.
We hope for peace in 2009.
In two days the twins will be 20 months old. The twins will be two this year, they'll talk more, they can remember more, they will express more of their needs and desires. It is so interesting to say: "Zev is wearing Orli's shoes because those are the ones he wanted to wear", or "Orli is wearing that bike helmet because she asked to wear it". Maybe this year they'll try some potty training, already we have signs of understanding that something strange is in their diaper. Orli says "uh oh, poo poo" and she gently pats her diaper. We can now ask them if they want to watch, Elmo or Dora. That is a tough contest, Elmo is a favorite, but Zev really likes Dora. We had a visit from some dear friends from the DC area, they were only in town for a short while and we were grateful to have enjoyed a visit on a cold New Year's morning. Their little boy is exactly a year younger than our guys, he is so adorable and is such an amazing reminder how much our twins have grown that they seem like giants compared to little Sam. And yet we know how fast Sam will grow in the next year. Enjoy the Sam twin sandwich.
